Alex is a self taught nature and wildlife photographer based in Churchill, MB. Armed with nothing more than a cell phone to take photos, Alex first travelled up to Churchill eleven years ago. He immediately fell in love with the unique Northern town. Inspired, he returned the following year to work seasonally and invested in  DSLR to pursue his passion for photography. Working seasonally allowed him to pursue another passion, travel. Over the last ten years, Alex has explored the globe from the Middle East to the Antarctic. As his photography skills continued to evolve, new opportunities presented themselves. In 2016 he opened a gallery in Churchill, where he does slideshow presentations and photography workshops. In 2017, he founded Discover Churchill Tours. A tour company specializing in working with professional photographers and film crews. Despite a temporary closure of the rail line and a global pandemic, Discover Churchill has managed to grow in each of the last four years. It now seasonally employs four guides while accommodating groups of up to 12 people.

Alex will present the Seasons of Churchill, sharing images showing the seasonal change each month brings to Churchill.
